This is the website for the collection and evaluation of the abstracts for the events named "CD38 IN BASIC SCIENCE AND CLINICAL PRACTICE 2023" which will be held from 13 to 15 July 2023 in Bergamo at CENTRO CONGRESSI GIOVANNI XXIII.
Abstracts can be submitted by clicking on the above menu from where you can access the main sections [Create account], [Log-In/Authors] and [Log-In/Reviewers] and then access the functions you are allowed on the site.
It will be possible to submit, print and/or correct abstracts until the deadline at midnight of June 30th, connecting ONLY to this site and using the online procedure. Subsequently, the Organizing Secretariat will close the submission and the abstracts inserted won't be anymore modifiable as well as it won't be possible to submit new ones.
All abstracts in the database will be made accessible to the Auditors for the evaluation and selection of those intended both for presentation as oral communication and those intended for presentation as posters.
All abstracts will be published in the supplement of the journal Hematology Reports; abstracts not selected for oral or poster presentation will be published with the term "published only", unless specifically requested otherwise through a selection in the abstract registration form. Notification of acceptance (or non-acceptance) will be communicated to the Correspondent Author some days before the event by e-mail to the address indicated when creating the corresponding author's account. For any problem related to the entry, please use the address support@abstracts.it specifying the problem encountered
PRESENTATION METHODS
The only form allowed to send abstracts is through the online procedure. We will not accept abstracts submitted in other forms (fax, regular mail, etc.). All abstracts must be written in English
WARNINGS AND SPECIAL NOTES
We will not accept abstracts related to works already published. For each abstract accepted as a communication or poster, the First Author or who will present the work for him, must be regularly registered at the Congress
Insert in the form all the required data of the corresponding author to whom all correspondence will be addressed.
ATTENTION: After the registration of the first abstract IT'S MANDATORY to submit the CV of the first author along with an half-length photo and a brief biography written using no more than 2000 characters (including spaces). CV, photo and short biography must be sent in a single compressed file (max 2,5 MB) with .zip extension, which will be the only format accepted by the system. To better understand what we mean about photo and short biography, see www.sohoitaly.it/multiple-myeloma/ Only in case the corresponding author submits several abstracts where the first author is always the same, the documents upload procedure after the first one can be skipped.
TOPICS: From the drop down menu select one of following:
TITLE: in CAPITAL and English;
CLASSIFICATION:
We are interested in the professional/healthcare classification NOT the degree or academic qualification. (e.g. Full Professor, Associate Professor, Level II Medical Officer, Level I Medical Officer, Researcher, Biologist, Laboratory Technician, ... in progress, Scholar, Student);
Date of birth: Of the first author;
AUTHORS:
Insert ONLY the first character of the full Name and Surname, starting from the first author and following all the others in the order of contribution
(E.g. P. Rossi1, G. Rossini2, G. Verdi3, A. Vespucci1, C. Colombo1|2, M. Polo3, F. Fellini2, A. Sordi2, M.L. King5, N. Mandela4).
Attention: During the insertion of the eventual numbering in superscript in the field, the text will be represented with markers and therefore for the first two authors we will have P. Rossi[^]1[/^], G. Rossini[^]2[/^] that then in the confirmation page will be rendered graphically as in the example above.
Please no numbering and/or special character in case of only one affiliation;
CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
Please specify any conflicts of interest of the first author. Please follow the following instructions: indicate "No conflict" if not present, or the list of subjects with commercial interests in the health sector with which the first author has had relationships in the last two years, including financing relationships.
Please note that to be in a situation of conflict of interest means the ownership of shares in companies operating in the health sector, the employment relationship with them, the royalties received by the same companies, while it is not intended to have carried out studies, research or consultancy;
AFFILIATIONS:
List the institutes to which each author belongs WITHOUT ADDRESS, separated by a semicolon or a carriage return.
If the institute is common to more than one author, avoid repeating the name of the institute, rather use numbering and/or symbols to associate the authors to the common center (e.g. 1. Radiology I, Fondazione Ca' Granda IRCCS Policlinico; 2. U.O.C. Genetica medica e di laboratorio AO. A. Cardarelli; 3. Department of Internal Medicine and Surgery, AOU Federico II; 4. Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Augusta Victoria; 5. Oncology Research Department of Cleveland Clinic ).
Please no numbering and/or special character in case of only one affiliation;
CITIES:
List the cities (state abbreviation in parentheses if applicable) of all affiliations (Not the residence of the authors), separated by a comma and preceded by the center number or all center numbers residing in the same city. Avoid repetition!
For example, referring to the two examples above: 1. Milan (I), 2.3. Naples (I), 4. Jerusalem (IL), 5. Cleveland (USA).
Please no numbering and/or special character in case of only one affiliation;
ABSTRACT TEXT: The abstract text (in English) must be divided into four sections:
- Introduction;
- Methods;
- Results;
- Conclusions.
Insert only text without any formatting. 3˙000, including spaces, is the maximum number of characters allowed for the body of the abstract excluding Title, Names, Affiliations, Etc. The use of commonly used abbreviations such as MDS, ALL, PCR, etc. will be allowed, provided that the use does not give rise to interpretative doubts. All the characters of the Italian keyboard are allowed and can be typed, including accented letters, Greek letters and mathematical symbols. Any parts of the text to be represented in bold, italic, underlined, superscript and/or subscript can be "Tagged" using a pop-up menu from which to select the type of tag with which to surround the text you wish to highlight in one of the ways just mentioned.
It's recommended to save the manuscript in plain text format, then open and copy from it the texts to be pasted in the form fields;
FIGURE/TABLE: If deemed useful, one figure or one table can be attached to the abstract after it has been saved. No descriptions are necessary because the relationship between the abstract and the uploaded file is created automatically by the system.
